Yael Camp in Cyprus (2022)

One of the remarkable aspects of the Yael Camp was the diverse dream team of counselors who came from different parts of the world: Ukraine, Israel, France, Austria, Georgia, and Italy. What made their efforts truly extraordinary was the simultaneous delivery of a dynamic and meaningful camp experience in three languages: Russian, Hebrew, and French. This multilingual approach created an inclusive environment where participants could fully engage, communicate, and appreciate the diversity within the Jewish community.

At the heart of the Yael Camp was the central theme, "All Jews are responsible for each other." Through various activities and workshops, the participants had the opportunity to explore and understand the customs, traditions, and practices of different Jewish communities. They learned to interact with Jewish children from various parts of the world, gaining a broader perspective on their own heritage and the global Jewish identity.

The Yael Camp program encompassed a wide range of activities designed to engage and inspire young participants. Alongside the cultural exchange and educational sessions, the camp featured traditional Shabbat celebrations, allowing the children to experience the joy and significance of this important Jewish observance. Furthermore, the camp embraced its picturesque location in Cyprus, incorporating the beauty of the sea, nature, and historic landmarks into the program. The participants also had the opportunity to connect with the local Jewish communities on the island, deepening their understanding of Judaism's global presence.

Outdoor activities and sports played an integral part in the camp's agenda, promoting teamwork, physical fitness, and a sense of adventure.
