Working visit to the Jewish school of Barcelona Collegio Hatikva
On May 20, CEO of Yael Foundation, Mr. Eliezer Lesovoy paid a working visit to the Jewish school of Barcelona Collegio Hatikva. We got acquainted with the work of the school, had meetings with school principal Mr. Ari Messer, and the President of Barcelona Jewish Community Mr. Raymond Forado.
The meeting participants discussed the development strategy and needs of the unique Jewish school, which has become home to hundreds of students from Barcelona, children of Jewish emigrants from other countries, Israelis living and working in Barcelona. The visit took place in preparation for the start of support for the school by the foundation. The fund plans to support with a grant the work of teachers who teach Jewish tradition, Hebrew, and history. We separately discussed the integration in the school of Jewish refugees from Ukraine who came to Barcelona as a result of the ongoing war there.
